Cookie policy

Last updated: [date]

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Kevlo uses, why, and how you can change your choice at any time.

Draft. Items in [square brackets] are filled in before launch, and the whole text is reviewed by a lawyer before Kevlo is sold. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under mandatory law.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and session storage, store information in your browser in the same way. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These make the site work and remember your cookie choice. They are always on, because the site cannot work properly without them, and the law does not require consent for them.

Analytics

These would tell us, anonymously, which pages are visited and how, so we can improve the site. They are only used after you choose Accept all or turn on Analytics under Customize. At the moment we do not run any analytics, so nothing is set even if you agree. If we add an analytics tool, we will name it here first.

Marketing

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not let third parties track you on this site.

Fonts and pictures are served from our own site, so loading the website does not place third-party cookies or send your data to services such as Google.

Cookies in the Kevlo app

The app runs on your Mac and opens in your browser at a local address. It stores your preferences, such as the theme, the layout of chat windows and your notification settings, in your browser's local storage on your own Mac. These are strictly necessary for the app to work as you set it up; they never reach us.
